Diamonds are forever, and they can be an everlasting keepsake, remembrance, or heirloom to pass to future generations. – Algordanza AG
Last night, I found something truly inspiring. The Swiss company Algordanza can transform the ashes of a deceased into a diamond. It seems like a fairly straight forward process. First, they analyse the ashes. Each diamond only requires 500 grams so the remainder of the ashes can be kept more traditionally. They will then separate the carbon which is what they require to make the diamond. Using high pressure, high temperatures and just a couple of weeks, your diamond will be ready to be cut to your specifications. The colour of the diamond will be unique but is usually a bluish white. If you want to make the diamond even more unique and personal, you can have the diamond engraved with up to 75 characters of micro scripture which can be read with a magnifying glass.

Our mission consists of three essential elements: the love and respect for and the memory of a loved person. The Memorial Diamond is the brilliant union of all three. […] Our Memorial Diamond is imperishable, constant and contributes to filling the void left by the deceased. We are grateful for the joy we are able to give with our memorial diamonds. – Algordanza AG
