Our newest design project is for a High-Priority Desk with Storage. This description is not limited by conventional understandings of the words but is allowing us the chance to create our own limitations and prioritise our own requirements for the piece. We have been asked to disregard aesthetics at this stage.

Being a bit of an organise freak (partly caused by my intense anxiety), the first thing that came to mind was the ‘entertainment space’ at the home of an associate. As 50% gamer, 30% download hoarder, and 20% developer in interactive digital media, the area around his computer is a priority space. However, after recently moving house the space has somewhat deteriorated and with no access to a storage unit or desk, there has been some improvisation.

With room for improvement, I am keeping this space in the back of my mind.
